This is an improved version of the Sam5 gene (BBa_I742105). The restriction site for PstI that was initially found at location 1436 was mutated out. The mutagenesis was done by Mr. Rashed Al Naber under supervision of Prof. C. French of the University of Edinburgh, in March 2008, using BioBrick BBa_I742105 as a template (this BioBrick was prepared by the Edinburgh iGEM 2007 team but was not submitted to the Registry).
