BBa_K1968009 1 BBa_K1968009 PglaA inducible promoter Phytobrick: glucoamylase gene promoter (PglaA) from Aspergillus niger 2016-10-11T11:00:00Z 2016-10-17T10:55:18Z This part was ordered as a gBlock Gene Fragment from IDT and was assembled into the PhytoBricks Universal Acceptor (BBa_P10500). The sequence of this part was confirmed by Sanger Sequencing The Aspergillus a-glucoamylase (GlaA) enzyme is involved in starch utilization. The glaA promoter is induced by starch, maltose, and low concentrations of glucose but repressed by xylose (Fowler, Berka, & Ward, 1990). Basal transcription of glaA requires only 214 bp upstream of the start codon, while a high-level transcription expression requires the upstream region including -562 and -318 bp in the promoter region. The glaA promoters among different Aspergillus species are conserved. false false _2435_ 9146 30078 9 false Phytobrick format compatible with MoClo (Overhangs E and C) false Alejandra Adriana Schiavon Osorio annotation2499085 1 Phytobrick Adapter Site E range2499085 1 1 4 annotation2499087 1 Phytobrick Adapter Site C range2499087 1 848 851 annotation2499086 1 PglaA range2499086 1 5 847 BBa_K1968009_sequence 1 gatgcgtctctctcagcttgaactccaatcggggggagtacatggaatggccccagtggcaggaatcacgacagttgatgaatttcggagcgaacagcgccagtctccttacggatgatttccgcaacgggacatatgagttcatcctgcagaataccgcggctttccacatctgatgccattggcggaggggtccggaggtcagggacctagccttatgaacgtaatgatggaagtgtctggcctcggcaaaggatatatagggtcataataagtagtactagttatattaatggaagggtatataccacgcgttggaccttgggacctgcattatagcttcccgttaggtataattaccgttgttatagcagccaatcaagccaccacgctcgaccggggacggcgaatccccgggaattgaaataaattgcaattcaggtcaatgcggccagcgattggacacatctccaaggcacagggccattctgcagtgccggtggattcagtgcaatttcccccgggccggcccgacaccgcgataggctggttcttccacaccaccggagattcgttctgaagagctgaagtggcgagatgttctctgcaggaattcaagctagatgctaagctagatgctaagcgatattgcatggcaatatgtgttgatgcatatgcatgtgcttcttccttcagcttcccctcgtgcagatgaggtttggctataaattgaagtggttggtcggggttccgtgaggggctgaagtgcttcctcccttttagacgcaactgagagcctgagcttcatccccagcatcattacacctcagcaaatgcgagagagacgcagc igem2sbol 1 iGEM to SBOL conversion Conversion of the iGEM parts registry to SBOL2.1 Chris J.
