S. cerevisiae GPA2 with 5 amino acids from human G(s) alpha-subunit

It's a combination of yeast Gpa2 coding sequence (from genomic DNA of S. cerevisiae), and human G(s) alpha-subunit (from genomic DNA of human).
This is DNA sequence coding for S. cerevisiae guanine nucleotide-binding protein subunit alpha (GPA2) with 5 amino acids at C terminus replaced by corresponding part of human G(s) alpha-subunit (alpha-S1). The strategy of making yeast???human chimeric G-protein, in which the carboxyl-terminal 5 amino acid residues of yeast G alpha subunit are replaced by the equivalent residues from human Gs proteins, has been shown to improve signal transmission in GPCR engineered yeast according to recent literature.
