Additionally, the microviridin L biosynthesis gene cluster consists of genes encoding an ATP-grasp-type ligase (mdnB and mdnC) and genes, which encode an ABC transporter (mdnE) and a N-acetyltransferase of the GNAT family (mdnD) (Ziemert et al., 2008).
