    Description

    This part was designed to bind toxic metals; cadmium, mercury and cobalt. This was done by inserting flexible linkers between the metal binding sites. The linkers were used because they were quite flexible and prevented hairpins in the structure.

    Notes

    This part had to be designed so as the metal binding sites would not interefere with each others function.
