This plasmid is designed to integrated into the Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 genome. It contains an ampicillin resistance gene and an E. coli origin of replication, so BioBrick parts can be assembled in E. coli, then transformed into Synechocystis for genomic integration. In Synechocystis, transformed cells can be selected with kanamycin. M11400 is based on plasmid pIGA from Kunert et al. (2000), GenBank accession number AJ251839.1.
The recombination sites correspond to the regions containing hypothetical proteins slr0338 and slr0168 in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803.
