    The part codes for the human Oct-4 promoter, which regulates expression of the Oct-4 gene. The Oct-4 gene is essential for pluripotency in cells and is downregulated once differentiation occurs. Sequence information is from GenBank (NM_002701) and shows the cis-regulatory mRNA that controls transcriptional activation of the human Oct-4 promoter.
