Description
This part consists of the beta and alpha subunits of human hemoglobin A inserted into the commercial petDUET vector. The hemoglobin subunits are mutants with the following mutations: beta providence (Asn108Lys) and presbyterian (Lys82Asp) and the alpha subunit was made into a di-alpha fusion with a glycine linker between the two subunits.
The second part consists of the genes in the heme biosynthesis pathway hemA, hemB, hemC, and hemD.
The third part consists of the genes encoding for cytochrome b5 and cytochrome b5 reductase.
