Description
malE1- found a paper for a maltose induced promoter CGR_2367. Testing whether or not this promoter works without the maltose induced part. Found the sequence in the paper and plan to make an oligo with less than 70 base pairs, trimming out the sequence induced by maltose. This oligo will be placed in the plasmid in the presence of RFP to test if this promoter will in fact still glow red despite the inducing sequence being trimmed out. We do not expect the promoter to work without the maltose induced sequence.
Notes
The maltose induced sequence was cut out; testing the viability of lactose production of this remaining sequence.
