Description
This promoter is constitutive. The -10 region is located at the 52nd base in the promoter, and the -35 region is located at the 27th base. The promoter has the ability to be cut by the EcoRI restriction enzyme.
Notes
The promoter had to be manipulated to fewer than 60 base pairs.
Source
The promoter was found in 'Letters in Applied Microbiology' titled 'AiiA-mediated quorum quenching does not affect virulence or toxoflavin expression in Burkholderia glumae SL2376'. The NPT-II promoter is originally short, with fewer than 80 bases in its entirety. The part of the promoter has been trimmed to within twelve bases of the -10 and -35 regions.
