Description
It is 2,2???,3-Trihydroxybiphenyl 1,2-dioxygenase, which catalyze the meta cleavage reaction, the second step, in the process of 4-chlorodibenzofuran degradation, from 2,2',3-Trihydroxybiphenyl to 2-Hydroxy-6-oxo-6-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-hexa-2,4-dienoate. The size is relatively small, 885bp.
Notes
We plan to use it to construct the pathway of dioxin degradation.
Source
It comes from genome of the dibenzofuran- and dibenzo-p-dioxin-degrading bacterium Sphingomonas sp. strain RW1, which is provided by Dr. Rolf Wittich, Zaidin Experimental Station CSIC, Spain.
