Description
Receptor interacting protein 1, a serine/threonine kinase that play an important role in cell apoptosis and necrosis. Overexpression of RIP 1 in cancer cells may induce cell death.
Notes
It has been reported that besides apoptosis, RIP 1 can also induce necrosis in cells , we also observe this effect in Hep G2 cell lines, and now we are try to find more suitable gene that can only induce apoptosis and avoid the inflammation effect. To use the RIP 1 to treat cancer, tightly control of expression may be necessarily.
