    Description

    this ORF encodes permease in the cell wall of K. lactis that imports lactose into the cytoplasm allowing metabolism and growth on lactose. Can be used in K. lactis, S. cerevisae, etc. Must be paired a beta-galactosidase to allow lactose metabolism.

    Notes

    Changed the stop codon from TGA to TAATAA to comform to BioBricks assembly standards.
