Sequences BBa_K1141002_sequence (Version 1)

Description

KillerRed is a red fluorescent protein wich is able to produce ROS under an illumination. We construct a biobrick where the production of KillerRed is under the control of pLAC promoter. So the production of KillerRed is IPTG dependent. We used this part to trigger cell death in response to light illumination for controlling cell density.

Notes

There was an Ecor1 restriction site. We removed this site in order to made this biobrick compatible to the 3A assembly.

Source

KillerRed came from addgene plasmid pBabe-KR-CENPA
