Description
PQSR is a quorum sensing receptor which is similar to the LuxI-LuxR system. It is found in Pseudomonas and uses 2-heptyl-3-hydroxy-4-quinolone as quorum sensing molecule. We use it as one of our quorum sensing receptors and hope to function as a biosensor.
Notes
There are no PstI, EcoRI, XbaI or SpeI restriction sites in the sequence.
Source
It comes from Pseudomonas ATCC 27853 genome, functioning as one of the quorum sensing systems in the bacterium.
