    Description

    Chitinase gene; ChiC. An endo-acting non-processive chitinase enzyme which degrades chitin. Makes random cuts in the more amorphous regions of the substrate opening these regions for attacks from ChiA (BBa_K1201000) and ChiB (BBa_K1201001). Suitable for projects which require an enzyme that degrades chitin.
