Description

This sequence encodes for the colicin activity protein of the Colicin E2 operon. This activity protein acts as a DNase, and recognizes BtuB receptors on cells (Cole et. al, 1985). This gene contains a promoter for the Colicin E2 immunity gene (ceiB), which is used naturally, and a LexA binding domain for the SOS promoter.
