Description
The genes spaBTC play a role for the posttranslational modifications and the transport of subtilin. spaB encodes a hydratase, spaC a cyclase, which is responsible for the formation of the thither ring. spaT is coding for a NisT-type ABC-transporter, which exports subtilin, which is later on processed by an unspecific protease (cleavage of leader sequence)
