Description
Manganese peroxidase (MnP) is a nylon degrading enzyme found in the fungus, Phanerochaete chrysosporium. This enzyme has been shown to degrade nylon 6 and nylon 66. This basic part contains an codon optimized version of the MnP gene for E.coli attached to a pelB secretion tag.
Notes
The gene sequence had to be codon optimized for E.coli.
Source
The gene was taken from the genomic sequence of Phanerochaete chrysosporium.
