Description

This sequence is composed of the AgrA response regulator. Downstream of the AgrA coding sequence is a P2 promoter regulating expression of an sfGFP reporter. This part goes together with part BBa_K1369003 to form the two-component system consisting of AgrC and AgrA.

Notes

A double terminator sequence separates the AgrA sequence from the P2 promoter sequence.

Source

The AgrA response regulator and P2 promoter are endogenous to Staphylococcus aureus, which are involved in the AgrBDCA quorum sensing system.
