Description
Acyl-acyl carrier protein (ACP) thioesterase catalyzes the hydrolysis of acyl-ACP to fatty acids and ACP this reaction removes the coupling between fatty acid biosynthesis and phospholipid biosyntheis, which is a key to obtain free fatty acids. This thioesterase AtFatA can produce fatty acids with 16~18 carbon chain length. In previous researches, thioesterase gene AtFatA can be expressed in E.coil BL21(DE3) and enhance the synthesis of free fatty acids. This part can increase the productivity of free fatty acids. However, this part can not express itself. You should add promoter, RBS and terminator to it or use other parts we offer.
