Sequences BBa_K1438002_sequence (Version 1)

Description

Human ferritins do loads more iron atoms then bacterial ferritins. Furthermore they are forming metall cores that are less contaminated with phosphates then e.g. bacterial ferritins. Due to this fact, this should result in a purer iron crystal with an improved magnetic moment.

Notes

This design was provided by iGEM Calgary and the HuFerritin as a single protein coding biobrick was constructed by iGEM Berlin as this biobrick was not accessible in this version in the registry.
