Description

This part is meant to code for the TesA thioesterase to increase the production of fatty acyl-ACPs into fatty acids through a hydration reaction. The RBS was added to allow for the coding region to be read in vivo. This part was used to produce fatty ethyl esters to be used as biofuels as part of the 2014 Arizona State iGEM project.

Notes

We had to make sure the RBS was upstream of the Thioesterase A in

Source

The Thioesterase A part came from the iGEM Registry part BBa_K654058. The RBS came from the iGEM Registry part BBa_B0032
