Description
HGFI is a small protein produced by filamentous fungi. Hydrophobins are amphipathic, which means they have the hydrophobic part and hydrophilic part at the same time. HGFI is a kind of hydrophobins and it has magic properties. We combine GFP with HGFI by a linker and make them become a fusion protein. This fusion protein could be used in aqueous two-phase systems to make itself seperated frome mixture. Meanwile, hydrophobin has a property that it can generate a membrane on the surface of solid automatically, which is called self-assembly. We can get a fluorescent protein' membrane by it.
