Description
The ABI dimerizable domain is a protein domain that will dimerize with the PYL dimerization domain in the presence of abscisic acid. By fusing these parts to protein halves, we were able to control protein function and induce dimerization in the presence of an inducer, in this case, abscisic acid.
Notes
Originally, this protein was not biobrick compatible. We therefore had to introduce a silent mutation in the sequence and synthesized the new part altogether.
