Description

This is the PcyA gene, known to convert biliverdin to phycocyanobilin, codon optimized for S. cerevisiae (baker's yeast).

Notes

Many of the codons had very low usage in S. cerevisiae, so we had to do codon optimization for it to work.

Originally from the Synechococcus sp. genome, and then optimized using the optimization suggested by GeneART.
