Description

This stilbene synthase enzyme is used in making resveratrol in plants. This component is one of the well studied plant-produced polyphenols. It is found in red wine, and is suspected to have health benefits when digested. In our project we do an liquid chromatography???mass spectrometry assay (LC-MS) to prove the presence of the resveratrol in our transformed moss.

Notes

We did not have any unusual design considerations.

Source

The gene is taken from Vitis vinifera, wihtout further modification.
