Description

A GAF domain of the cyanobacteriochrome (CBCR) Osc7112_5903 with an intein/chitin-binding domain attached to the C-terminus for purification. As with most CBCRs, NpF requires a phycocyanobilin co-factor, and must therefore be expressed in a system with heme oxygenase (BBa_I15008) and PcyA (BBa_I15009). RFC10 compatible.

Notes

It is not advisable to purify this protein using metal ion affinity columns. As such the fusion protein contains an intein-CBD tag and must be purified using chitin columns.
