Description
Aflatoxins frequently contaminate agricultural commodities and thus pose serious health hazards to
plants, humans and domestic animals. In liver, CYP3A3 and CYP1A2 are key enzymes that metabolize mycotoxin. CYP2A13 is the main enzyme in human lung. It metabolizes toxin, including tobacco and aflatoxin. This new part is newly introduced in iGEM for those who are interested in studying metabolism of toxins in lung.
