Description

This part is Acholeplasma laidlawii, Alpha-monoglucosyldiacylglycerol synthase (alMGS). It catalyses the insertion of lipids into the bacterial inner membrane; to relieve the stress of expansion, the membrane bulges in and releases lipids that form inner-membrane vesicles.

Notes

As per above, we codon optimised for E. coli

Source

This part is a gene encoded by Acholeplasma Laidlawii. We reverse translated the protein from UniProt, using the E. coli codon optimisation tool provided by ThermoFisher's GeneArtStrings.
