Sequences BBa_K2055004_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This construct codes for an enzyme called cyanide hydratase from A. niger, which catalyses the reaction from cyanide to formamide. This enzyme will be used once gold has been completely recovered from the media in order to convert cyanide into a less toxic compound for easier disposal.

Notes

The coding sequence is optimized for its expression in C. violaceum.

Source

The cyanide hydratase gene sequence comes from A. niger's genome.
