Description
The U6 promoter is a positive, constitutively active promoter suitable for expressing small RNAs such as single guided RNA. This part is important when separating sgRNA and Cas9 from the same coding sequence, as it allows the continious expression of sgRNA whithout constant expression of the Cas9 enzyme.
Notes
According to IDT, the U6 promoter sequence is required for a well functioning sgRNA expression when separating sgRNA and Cas9 from the same coding sequence
