Sequences BBa_K2142000_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This part was used as antitoxin for our mazF toxin. Together mazE and mazF form a functional selectable marker. Further we combined the antitoxin with a red chromoprotein to make visible selection.
The part has also a constitutive promoter, A RBS upstream of every coding sequence and an bidirectional double terminated in the end.

Notes

We were working with different antitoxin/toxin systems. To be sure the E.coli will survive its own toxin we had to express the antitoxin constitutive and also the chromoprotein had to be expressed without inducing. The bidirectional double terminator in the end allows us to use only one terminator to safe some space on the plasmid.

Source

This part was made with sequences of the registry and from NCBI database.
