Sequences BBa_K2160000_sequence (Version 1)

Description

The endoglucanase enzyme was taken from the thermophillic bacteria Ruminiclostridium thermocellum. The endoglucanase enzyme cleaves internal Beta-1,4-D-glycosidic bonds in the cellulose crystal to release the disaccharide cellulobiose.

Notes

Carefully designed primers containing restriction enzyme cut sites so that none of the sites were found in the endoglucanase nucleotide sequence or the biobrick vector.
