Description
This part contains the NsrR (nitrite-sensitive transcription repressor) encoding region from Nitrosomonas europaea (ATCC 19718). This part is related with BBa_K248002, the promoter region of the NirK protein, because nsrR activates the transcription of NirK under high nitrite conditions. Due to this property, we can use this pair of parts as a sensor of nitrite in the medium.
Notes
This part is not compatible with the Biobrick standard assembly 10 because there is an EcoR I restriction site inside the encoding region.
