Description

This fosmid backbone was generated by recombineering-mediated transfer of the HincII fragment from BBa_K260016 (inside backbone BBa_K260010) to pCC2FosM (BBa_K260000). This reaction also transferred the blasticidin resistance gene (BsdR), which is now part of this backbone. pCC2FosMB is available with part BBa_K260016 between prefix and suffix.

Notes

The insertion site for BsdR was chosen to be upstream of MECP2 exon 1 but still with more than 10 kb of MECP genomic sequence upstream.

Based on BBa_K260000, so it also contains human MECP2 genomic sequence, but has an insert taken from BBa_K260010.
