Description
MinC is a cell division inhibitor. It prevents the FtsZ polymerization and septal ring formation. Thus it inhibits cell division only but leaves other functions (ie. metabolism and cell growth) unchanged.
Notes
MinC under too strong RBS and strong promoter inhibits cell divisions in uncontrolled manner. Thus no transformant are generated using following construct: pT7-B0034-minC in BL21.
