Description
This device shows the activity of Cre on two variant lox sites, one with three point mutations (loxBri) in the inverted arm region and one with two (loxN). If these arms are compatible, which they shouldn't be, then RFP will be excised and cells will no longer glow red in the presence of Cre.
Notes
pTet is a moderate promoter and floxed RFP is an immediate indicator of excision.
