Sequences BBa_K329019_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This part is our "final" population counter with Tetracycline resistance, RFP fluorescence and timer device. However the cells express constitutively RFP without reasonable explanation...

When IntI1 (BBa_K329014) is expressed, it excises the double terminator flanked by attC sites (BBa_J99001) and triggers the expression of TetA(C) (with a medium RBS, BBa_K329000), mRFP1 and LuxI (BBa_K081008) because of the constitutive promoter upstream. LuxI produces HSL which binds to LuxR (expressed constitutively), then activates the transcription of GFP.

Notes

We used BioBrick Standard Assembly.
