    Description

    The SpooA protein binds to the SpooA box within the PlcR promoter and blocks binding of the PlcR-PapR fusion peptide. This, conjugation of SpooA to the SpooA box within the PlcR promoter inhibits transcription.

    The sequence was codon optimized for Lactobacillus gasseri.
