Description

This composite contains the HapR promoter with GFP down stream of it. HapR is a downstream product of the CqsS pathway found in the cholera quorum sensing system. HapR acts to inhibit virulence genes in cholera when there is a high cell density.

This part can be used as a reporter of the CqsS cholera quorum sensing system.

Notes

The HapR promoter is flanked by the iGEM prefix and suffix.
