Description

This parts associates the rcn promoter, whose expression increases with cobalt or nickel in the medium, with csgBAEFG, an operon that enables the production and secretion of curlis, which are adherent proteins.
With this part, strains can become adherent in response to cobalt or nickel in the medium.

Notes

Several internal iGEM restriction sites were initially present in the genes : EcoR1 in csgEFG, Pst1 in csgBA and rcn. They were eliminated in such a way that it does not affect the expression of the genes.

Source

Direct synthesis from Genecust, using the sequence of the genes as found in E.Coli MC4100 genome.
