Description

Central role of TORC1, a highly conserved Ser/Thr protein kinase which is the central component of a major signaling transduction network that controls cell growth in diverse eukaryotic organisms, ranging from yeast to human beings. Massive physiological processes, such as amino acid biosynthesis, transcription and translation machinery, carbohydrate metabolism, nucleotide biosynthesis, stress response, protein turnover and cell cycle are directly or indirectly linked with TOR pathway. In our project, it is the target gene we want to improve, its activity is inhibited by multi-inhibitor such as acetic acid, phenol and furan.

Notes

It is the origin Tor2 gene of S. cerevisiae.

Source

It is from the genomic sequence of S. cerevisiae. You can get this parts from the genomic DNA of S. cerevisiae strain BY4742 or W303 by PCR.
