Description
Microcin C51 is a bacteriocin protein produced by the Escherichia coli pMccC51 plasmid. They make holes in bacterial membranes.
In our project, we used Microcin C51 to kill pathogen cells (in our case they were E. coli DH5alpha strain) by membrane lysis, disinfecting the contaminated water.
