Description
V.cholerae ctx gene promoter region. Transcription takes place In the presence of a ToxR dimer.
CheZ is one of the 6 Che proteins used in chemotaxis. CheZ is a phosphatase which dephosphorylates CheY which in turn then allows the cell to run and tumble, wheres if CheZ is absence, CheY is phosphorylated, and the cell tumbles exclusively.
Notes
Ctx was obtained by PCR of J07011 original part followed by a PCR of K283006 for CheZ. Both we the ligated to create: K569005
Source
ctx from V.cholerae, CheZ from intrinsic E. coli chemotaxis pathway (It is a regulatory protein)
