Description

CI lambda repressor tagged upstream with yeast codon optimized blue fluorescent protein and an rtTA activation domain.

Notes

Both cI lambda and yeast codon optimized BFP were designed without a stop codon to enable the construction of a fusion protein with BFP and the rtTA activation domain.

Source

The cI lambda repressor was PCR amplified from a plasmid source of a biobrick () that was submitted last year by the team. Yeast codon optimized BFP was synthesized by the uOttawa team using Mr. Gene DNA synthesis. The rtTA activation domain was PCR amplified from a plasmid obtained by our host lab.
