Description
ChiS chitin sensor histidine kinase. ChiS belongs to a signal transduction systems specific for chitin oligosaccharides that allows the cells to bind to the chitin. ChiS and CBP are the regulatory elements for the chitinolytic operon in Vibrio fischeri ES114.
