Description

This part is a synthetic transcriptional activator with specificity for the Gal4 upstream activating sequence that can be found in the Gal1 promoter of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It is inactive in its native form but can be activated by the addition of Beta-Estradiol. The Beta-Estradiol acts to dimerize the activator.

Notes

Gal4 DBD and hER were designed without a stop codon so the full sequence would be a fusion protein.
