Description
The first step in the beta-oxidation pathway involves the conversion of acyl-CoA to enoyl-CoA through acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (FadE). Its action results in the introduction of a trans double-bond between C2 and C3 of the acyl-CoA thioester substrate. And it is repressed by FadR.
