Description

When this part is coupled with a passenger attached to AIDA-I translocator domain (K888001), it is posible to express functional proteins in the outer membrane of E. coli. The signal peptide is naturally cleaved during transport trough the inner membrane (Li et al. 2007; van Bloois et al. 2011).

Li et al. (2007). Presentation of Functional Organophosphorus Hydrolase Fusions on the Surface of Escherichia coli by the AIDA-I Autotransporter Pathway Biotechnol Bioeng. 99(2): 485-90

van Bloois et al. (2011). Decorating microbes: surface display of proteins on Escherichia coli. Trends Biotechnol. 29(2): 79-86

Notes

This part has the following prefix sites, EcoRI and BglII and as subfix sites, BamHI and SpeI. Through this way, it is possible to obtain fusion proteins and use the Standard Assembly 10 vectors.
